What’s new in 1.2

iCloud Sync

Keep your Memory—Moments, notes, tags, and listening history—the same on your iPhone, iPad, and Mac through your own private iCloud. It’s off until you turn it on in Settings.

Voice notes, if you choose

Voice notes sync only when you tick Include Voice notes. Another device downloads one the first time you play it.

Light by design

Edits go up after a few seconds and listening history at most every five minutes, and nothing runs while ARC is idle. If iCloud is signed out, turned off for ARC, or full, ARC tells you why and keeps your Memory on the device.

What’s new in 1.1

Now Playing styles

Choose how the song looks: Vinyl, Film, Print, or Shelf on Mac, iPhone, and iPad, and Ocean on Mac.

Chapters, rebuilt

Each completed week, month, or year now plays as a short film made from what ARC recorded on your device, and each film keeps its look whenever you reopen it. Chapters films now play on iPhone and iPad, too.

Album and artist links

From a song, artist, album, or cover in Now Playing, Moments, song lists, and Queue, open the album in your Library, the artist’s albums, or Apple Music. Click on Mac; long-press on iPhone and iPad.

Widgets and Mini Player

Home Screen widgets and the Mac Mini Player gain the Film, Shelf, and Vinyl designs.

Refinements

A full-bleed app icon on iPhone and iPad, plus fixes throughout.

Inside ARC Music

Chapters brings completed weeks, months, and years of local listening records and saved Moments into in-app films, with chapter music and a sound switch. The existing four Memory collections remain available.

Apple Music search includes songs, albums, artists, and playlists, in-app details, and playback without first adding a song to your Library. Observed listening and saved Moments can include these songs.

Eight app languages are supported, with a system default and a choice in ARC Settings that applies after restart. Memory is local-first, with optional iCloud Sync between your devices, manual export/import, and an explicit choice to include Voice notes. There is no ARC registration or sign-in.
